Hyssopus officinalis herb oil (inci)

Hyssopus officinalis herb oil is the essential oil from the herb of hyssop that is used in cosmetic formulations. Hyssopus officinalis, is a herbaceous plant from the labiate family, which grows mainly in the Mediterranean region and can grow to 60 cm in size.

The colourless to pale yellow, aromatic smelling oil contains pinocamphene, isopinocamphene, tarragol (methylchavicol), borneol, geraniol, limonene, thujone, myrcene.

The extract acts as a flavouring agent (reduces or inhibits an unwanted inherent odour or taste of the product).
